JuliAnn Robinson’s course is all about exploration. With the use of cold wax and oil paints, you will be amazed at the extent of your creativity. Paintings can take an unexpected turn into something fabulous. All you need is the willingness to delve into it, explore with textures using two (well maybe three) tools and let your inner creative self go. JuliAnn will first explain the process of using cold wax as a medium and the ratios involved for your mixes with a demonstration. Then it is time to create! This workshop is intended for all experience levels and those that just want to relax and have some fun.
JuliAnn will supply gesso birch panels primed and ready to go, cold wax and other mediums. Students need to bring their favorite palette of five to six oil pigments plus titanium white, a palette knife or two, a straight-edged catalyst (available at any art supplier), paper towels, and a pencil. No paint brushes necessary or used. She will have a few supplies on had for those who do not have the above items for $3 cash the day of the workshop.
