Classes and Workshops: John Wicker Workshop Fund

The John Wicker Workshop Fund

Untitled still life, John Wicker

John Cameron Wicker (1926-2018) was a legend in the Lee County art community.  A member of the Sanford Brush & Palette Club (SBPC) for nearly 50 years, John was a guiding light to hundreds of local artists — many just starting out or returning after a hiatus. His classes at CCCC offered a place to meet, laugh, learn, and create.  John served many roles in the club over the years including President, Treasurer, Art Show Chair, Board Member & Historian.

The John Wicker Workshop Fund was created in his honor and funded by donations from his family and friends. Proceeds from the sale of his artwork benefit the fund; its purpose is to provide Club members an opportunity to take classes or workshops at a discount.
